Interface Design

This are a few websites on clothing line which I'm interested in(as I'm into fashion),

that I would like to share about their interface design on the site...

*Tips: It's much more easier to get your work done,

 by relating your work to the things that you're into...

Nike

An obvious dominan colour is use through out Nike's website, that is black...

This to gives out the consistensy of this site..

Nike uses black because it wants to portray the feel of cool while in away elegant,

through out the sports wear that they promote..

Plus, black is told to be a colour with personality..

As the target audience is rage from age 15yrs-30yrs...

Another consistensy that is listed through out the site is the layout / grid system..

One thing that I love about this site is that, the user need not to scroll down the page to see what is under the limited space of the screen...

There are interesting buttons & navigations for the user to interact with..

Thats what makes me stay longer in this site, not forgetting the images & graphics..

I love this site the most is because of the colourful navigations, secondary links

 and not forgetting the loading bar,

that caught my interest as I'm a person that loves vibren colours....

Orangy yellow & black is the colour that they use throughout the site,

orangy yellow is use because of the colour of the " manggo" fruit, while

black is use once again to portray the elegance of the clothing ware..

The elements of nature which are very popular in the design world today,

gives out that this brand is an up-to-date brand which is not letf behind...

Miss Selfridge

Pink was chosen partially because it is so strongly associated with femininity.

That is what Miss Selfridge wants to protray, the feminity of the clothing line...

It is seen once again throughout the site, this gives the consistensy of the site...

Another consistent element that is seen in this site is the layout / grid system...

Title is place on the top left of the page,

navigations will always be on the left side,

Content & images takes up most of the center right space,

Disclaimers are provided at the bottom of every page...

TOPSHOP

The layout / grid system of this site is similar to the Miss Selfridge's...

Logo on the top left, navigations on the center left,

content + images on the center right...

The only differents is that the disclaimers are on the top.

I realise that the dominan colour for most websites which target audience are teens are mostly in black...

Just like TOPSHOP...

One thing that I don't really like about this site is that the main page is abit too crowded.

Seems like everything is force into the limited space...

It makes it hard for users to focus on one thing at a time..

There are two kinds of grid system for this side, that makes it neat and to hole everything together...

You can see the differents by looking at the mainpage & the other pages after you click a link..

I find that the readability of the text is easy to the eye,

which is a good thing because this makes the user wants to read on the information

that they give out...

Guess thats all that I would like to share..

Was doing my mind maping for Design Method while looking through my friendster..

Look through my friends list on my friendster..

Saw carrere's page, just reminded me that..

I have not been posting my blog for a long long time..

She even leave a message on my blog to tell me to start bloging again know???

Almost can't remember how to blog..

The last time I'd blog was the time I just got together with Marc..

That was like.. 3 months ago.. the last post was dated June 8 ,2007..

To think of it.. Our relationship just turn 3 months-old last Friday..

Which also falls on a very special day, dated.. 20072007..

But to bad we didnt celebrate it together..

Instead, we just wish each other on MSN...

Was I dissapointed???

If I say I was not... I would be lying..

Anyway..

lets get back to the topic were I remembered Carrere sending that message...

And here I am typing away on this page..

I've been researching the hole evening on my 3rd project for my Design Method class..

And could you believe it??? I'm doing researching on a "PINE CORN"..

Yes, A pine corn which look like this...

I'm not complaining or what so ever...

Please don't get me wrong...

Eventhrough I seriously think that it is abit silly-stupid-crazy-psycho-dumb...(you name it)

To do a research on a Pine Corn..

But after starting doing the mind maping..

I find it rather interresting....

The main objective in this post..

Is to kindly share some of the interresting stuff that I have found while doing my research...

Strawberries, blackberries, & Peach..

 Which are homegrow by a lady in her garden, cut, & waited to be dryed..

Chilled Raspberries..

& more blackberries..

Homegrowed cherries!!!!

Her son helping her to turn the blackberries to blackberry ice-cream!!!! Yummy!!!

Their healthy dinner, which are all homegrowned..

bruchetta - onions, oregano, basil from the garden
zucchini with parmesean and pine nuts - zucchini from the garden
corn on the cob - rosemary, chives from the garden
sugar peas - peas and mints (spearmint and pineapple mint) from the garden
greens salad - everything but the oil and vinegar from the garden

*(mouth-watering)*

The salad was made of: two kinds of lettuce, lemon thyme, chives, violets and borage flowers...

"FLOWERS"!!!! Someone please tell me why don't Malaysians eat flowers from their garden???

Well maybe Our Air are TOO dirty to eat straight from the garden..

For those vege lovers would fancy this dinner...

but not those people who "don't eat vege"...( you know who you are)

OH GOSH!!! I wish I could one day live a healthy lifestyle like them!!!

the outer shell looks like the shell of a dryed coconut..

Its obviously a coconut...

but the americans call it the "Yellow Nut"..

Another coco nut...but we use it to make coco, where chocolate are made out of...

Start A New...

It's been months since the last time I post an entry...

The thing that keeps me from posting my blog was...

 that I hurt a few people in my previous few blogs...

You can see that I 've deleted a few entrys that I posted..

Well.. I'm back...

Back to tell you what you had missed out in this passed 1 month+...

Firstly...

I'm in a relationship...

For those who are close with me they know first in hand...

For those who don't...

Here you go...

What do you think of us...???

We have been together 1 month & few weeks...

But it seems like a long time, around 6years...

Well maybe we have been knowing each other since we are young..

I knew him since I move from Ipoh to KL...

he stays near my previous house that I live in...

Got to know him from the school bus that I ride to school everyday...

He is known as the "magician"..

Cause he use to practice his magics on me...I'm like his ginnie pig at that time..

Now I know all his tricks...

It won't work on me... XD

(but it does work on xiao mei...LOL)

His a great guy.. Click well with my family & friends.. which is a good thing..

Since we just started..

Things are still going rough for us...

Mostly my fault when it comes to arguements...

The problem is that I don't really trust him yet...

I don't know why..

I can see that he is trying hard to gain the trust from me...

And I really appreciate that..

But I don't seem to get over the fact that he may change his heart someday..

Maybe is because what I had gone through in the previous relationship...

Its kinda hard 4 me to trust people...

but no matter what, I'm trying my best to fully trust him...

I really hope that this would last...=)

Can you believe it???

It's kinda like my interest in fashion, make-over, plus, Modelling....

I got to get on to a catwalk & be a model for a night for a friend of mine- Ah Sheh..

Cause he is graduating out of a make-over course..

And he ask me to be his model...

Everything was kinda last minute..

From the clothes on my body to the shoe on my foot, was all last minute lend from someone..

on the day itself..

the event is schduled at 7pm...but at 2.30pm...

the make-over room are all filled with models & artist..

It took us hours to get ready for just few minute on stage...

It was really tiring but an awesome experience...
